Statement blooms

Bold and bright blooms look incredible for fun summer weddings - they look stylish, add an energy to the day and look stunning against the white and pastel bridal party dresses.

Take a peek at one of our favousite statement bridal bouquets our Southampton florists created fro a recent summer wedding. Featuring coral charm peonies, miss piggy roses, yellow craspedia, succulents and we spy a dash of rosemary in there too – just wow!

Lilac roses

Roses are a classic choice for the feature wedding flower, a symbol of love and romantic petal design make them a front runner. Roses are especially beautiful in the summer months, and we find our brides swoon for these gorgeous lilac roses for bridal bouquets! The soft lilac shade of the roses compliments many bridal party dress colours, and adds subtle touch of glamour without being too full on.

For a modern twist, our wedding florists can combine the lilac roses with complimenting flowers such as white orchids.

Rustic Rosemary

If you are planning a rustic wedding in a beautiful barn or outdoor style ceremony, how about adding rosemary? With its silvery green spiky leaves and light woody scent, it looks stunning and smells divine. Our florists suggest using rosemary in the groom and groomsmen boutonnieres, as it looks fabulous against blue, black or grey suits.

Our favourite styling tip? Rosemary is also great to use for place setting decorations, a simple and effective way to tie in the table styling with the bride and groom flowers.

White and Green

We adore working with English Stocks, and find they make perfect  blooms for summer weddings. We had to share this gorgeous bridal bouquet that our Chandler Ford branch of The Flower Shop created for a wedding last year. Keeping it elegant and chic with white English Stocks, Cream roses and dark green foliage.

Layered displays

Our florists can talk to you about your wedding theme and the venue setting, to ensure the table centres will work perfectly on the day. Summer wedding vibes are often rustic and relaxed, which we find layered table centres are the ideal option – and no craning necks to see all the guests seated on the table! Using a mix of vases in different heights and designs, our florists beautifully arrange the blooms to create a stylish table centre that will get your guests talking.
